Bob Chambers Pty Ltd 

Bob Chambers Pty Ltd is a civil contracting company based in Coffs Harbour, NSW, specialising in pipelaying, earthworks and sub-division development.

It's a family owned and operated company, having been built up from the ground up with only one piece of plant equipment, to today owning a full fleet of earthmoving plant and equipment.

​

Bob Chambers is the founder of the company and a fully qualified Civil Engineer.  He moved to Australia from England under an invitation from the NSW government in 1967.  He headed many civil projects in the Armidale area, before moving to Coffs Harbour, where he has been ever since.  The business is well known and respected, and Bob is highly regarded as an honest and reliable business identity in the local area.

 

His son, Matthew finished his schooling (at The Armidale School - TAS, Armidale) and then commenced employment in the company.  He worked his way up, starting as a labourer, then machine operator, and onto foreman and now Managing Director.  He has more than 30 years experience in all aspects of the civil construction industry.

The company has continued to grow and goes from strength to strength.  We have a strong affiliation with our two local councils – Coffs Harbour City Council and Bellingen Shire Council, as well as several major engineering firms in town, all of which we are regular contractors.
